"A New Version of Orpheus

There was once a very Great musician who song would cox trees & even rocks!! He had a great life with his wife,Eurydice. Orpheus loved her so much he would do anything so they would be together forever.they lived in a old log house in the forest.Every day just before dawn they would enjoy a beautiful sunset & a perfect scene of a river.Until one night These pertetors took Orpheus wife he tryed his best to get her back but they refused they wanted to much,Orpheus wasn't rich.Two months past and he was left alone wachting the sunset,then he thought he could save Eurydice those perdetors didn't kill her but they did explain what they wanted !! Orpheus thought maybe I could get a job with my insturmentable play.So the next day he went of to the city & his job was approved.by the next to weeks he had all the money he needed.Then he found out his wife was actually dead,he couldn't face it .that same night he sat under a tree & played his insturment & five minutes later he was floating down the river & soon ready to die.

Julius Caesar was very important to Romebecause he was there only choice, if they wanted a powerful leader.When caesar's long year-long term of consul ended,he used his influence to get himself appionted govener of Gaul.Then caesar's army seized control of Italy while Pompley and his army fled to Greece.Ceasar haunted Pompey and defeated his army.The Roman people admired Ceasar as a war hero and a strong leader.In 46bc.,they elected him as dictator of Rome.In that time dictators were temporary rulers elected in the time of crisis.A year after his election of dictator ceasar was elected "dictator for life".

My favorite Greek thinker

My favorite Greek thinker is Achilles,legendary mortal.Heroic son of Peleus and Nereid THEITS.Achilles was moody,brooding difficult.... But a remarkable hero who got top billing in the lliad.He was educated at the CHIRON school of heroes.To ensure Achilles heroic status mum THETIS held him by the foot and dunked him in the river STYX.The sacred waters bestowed all-over invuinerability, but his foot was unaffected.He won Hector during the dool. Achilles was fighting for revenge and glory,he ruled the city!!!

Hector

I think Hector did the right thing by accepting Achilles challenge because he had the bravery and he had put his life in risk of death.
The only reason he accepted the challenge was because he was fighting to protect his country and his family.Achilles was only fighting for glory and revenge.Hector ends up dying in the duel but it was shown to be a heroes death.I think I would of probaly done the same thing if I wanted to protect my family and my country.

Osiris

Im Osiris brother and husband of Isis,also considered the oldest son of the earth god Geb.My evil brother coveted Isis,the throne wishing one day he would take over everything that was mine.Well his plan worked.He waited until I was full and drunk of beer.Then he caught me in his plan and asked me for a challenge I was so drunk i didn't even know what was happening.So he challenged me to enter the box he had layed in the ground and break it open.I was so feeble in mind because of my drink ,I entered the box.As soon as i was in the box i thought about what was really happening .I tried my best to escape but the wicked magic held me bound and i died.Then that one headed jealouse twerp through the box and hurled to the nile where i floated away. Then Isis remembered about us and found the box floating down the river.She got it as soon as she saw it.She new what Set had done to me so she teared open the box and i was teared in pieces.With Isis strength and magic I was able to come back to my normal self.Ohh Isis I love her so much!!

Asteria the godess

My name is Asteria and i am a godess .I am a titan godess of the oracles and propheaer of night including phrophetic dreams,the reading of the stars ,and necromancy.I was known as the sister of leto,my sister.My husband wich was Perses.Then I became the mother of fourth Heraclesby zues. In more generalization tradition I was an inhabitant of olympus and beloved by zues.Like oh my gosh what was there problem.

My life was very difficult.I could never get away from Olympus it was horrible . So i got sick and tired of his games ,inorder to escape his embraces i got metamorphosed into a quai and i threw my self in the sea.Thats when i became the godess of the island of asteria , the island wich has fallen from heaven like stars.

The Floods of the Nile

Each year rainfall far to the south of Egypt in the highlands of East Africa caused the Nile to flood.The Nlies floods were easier to predict then those in Mesopotamia.Almost every year,the nile fooded upper Eygpt in the mid-summer and lower Eygpt in the fall.As in the Mesopotamians,the silt made the soil ideal for farming .The silt also made the land a dark color. This is why Eygptains called thier country the black land. For them, the river's floods were a life-giving miracle. Without the floods,people would never have farmed in Eygpt.

Gilamesh

In the story of Gilamesh he builds his tallest and stongest walls in Iraq.His story begins when he has to leave Gilamesh, he walks through a large dessert.Also along the way he finds this old man , he told him that nobody has never entered the waters of dead so they got on the boat. hours later the boat landed in this island were they met this guy. The man told Gilamesh to sleep as long as he commanded , but he didnt obey . Gilamesh returned ,he knew that he wasnt goining to live forever so he hoped that every body will remember his name for generations.

I think the hole point of this story is to show us that Gilamesh was two-thirds of a god and person. Also how it is important that the story of gilamesh will always be remembered foer generations. I also think that the story explains some history of what happen along time ago.the story of Gilamesh explains why he couldnt live forever even though he was a god.Gilamesh build the tallest and strongest walls.

I think Gilamesh is a hero. He was brave enough to go past all those things.First of all he wasnt able to obey the mans commands but he still past through alot.I really think that if that were one of us we wouldnt been able to survive.I also think that Gilamesh was a hero because he went under the waters of dead and got that plant that the man told him to get when he got to that island.finally i think that Gilamesh was a big hero.

Being a Mesopotamian is difficult,my fellow Sumerians and I are having many problems settling in Summer.some of are problems are flash flooding and the climate weathers.when flash flooding happens all of are water gets dry.climate conditions are very hard to handle, especially when all of are fresh water drys up. we don't know how to get to simple solutions we need your help!!
